Recipe Ingredients for Creamy Homemade Poppy Seed Dressing
Ingredient Notes & Substitutions
White vinegar: White wine vinegar or plain old white vinegar are both just fine.
Milk: You can substitute buttermilk for a nice little tang.
Lemon: Add a squeeze of lemon and a little lemon zest for fresh flavor.
Expert Tips
- Storage: This dressing will stay fresh for 5-6 days when stored in an airtight container.
- Two ways to make: My two favorite ways to make this dressing are: 1) In a jar — add all ingredients and SHAKE! 2) Using my mini handheld frother!! It whisks the dressing together so perfectly!
- Sweetness: Some people prefer this dressing slightly sweeter so taste it, then add more sugar if needed.
